 Young Diverse Minds

SUYoung Diverse Minds supports people aged 16-30-years-old from African, Caribbean, Asian or dual heritage cultures within Nottingham, who have mental health support needs.

Although Young Diverse Minds is based at The Croft, Albert Road, Nottingham, NG3 4JD,  it is an assertive outreach service, which means we work with clients at a location to suit them – so they don’t have to travel if they prefer not to.

We are open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, and provide a range of activities.

So that we can provide a really supportive service, our experienced staff are from similar ethnic backgrounds to our customers.

Young Diverse Minds can help by :

  • Offering one to one support
  • Holding a weekly drop-in facility
  • Building confidence
  • Supporting clients to make new friends
  • Managing stress
  • Talking things through
  • Trying complementary therapies
  • Holding gender group work

We have established links with providers within the local area, including those who deliver mental health support. The group work compliments essential, individualised one to one support. Key workers are always on hand to offer support to those experiencing difficulties.

People can refer themselves to Young Diverse Minds or be referred by a friend, a relative or a health professional.
