We recognise the importance of working with partners to meet the needs of clients with mental health difficulties. We work closely with Health and Social Services professionals and other agencies, to ensure the best level of care and support is offered to clients with a wide range of needs. We provide support to clients with mental health needs a number of different ways:
Residential care is provided in purpose built or adapted care homes where clients live in comfortable, well furnished properties. Staff assistance is available 24 hours a day and all homes continue to meet the exacting standard set by the Care Quality Commission(CQC).
We have two residential care homes based in Leicester:
John Calvert Court
Skelton Court
We have a community support project called Compass, also based in Leicester, who provide people with enduring mental health problems moving from in-patient care with appropriate, ordinary, affordable, good quality, supportive housing, in an environment where local social and recreational amenities are easily accessible.
We also provide support to people in Nottingham with mental health needs:
Young Diverse Minds, supports people aged 16-30 years old from African, Caribbean, Asian or dual heritage cultures, who have mental health support needs. It is an assertive outreach service, which means we work with clients at a location to suit them – so they don’t have to travel if they prefer not to.
Our other project, Amity, is a project for people with mental health needs, aged 16 plus, throughout Nottinghamshire and provides a safe and secure environment where we deliver a wide range of activities as well as a newly introduced outreach service, supporting people in their own homes and in the community.
