John Calvert Court is a registered care home with people aged 50 and over, with long-term mental health needs.
Purpose-built in 1990, it provides rooms for 22 people (18 single rooms and two shared). All fully furnished and including en-suite facilities. There are two comfortable lounge areas, one of which is a designated smoking area, a dining room /conservatory, Service Users kitchen and a well stocked integral garden area with seating and a water feature. The scheme is close to a shops, chemist, GP surgery and bus stop. A library, post office, bank and shopping centre are also within easy reach.
The home is staffed 24 hours a day and personalised care plans promote dignity and independence, and residents are encouraged to determine their own daily routine. Individual dietary requirements are catered for. Pets can be accommodated by arrangement. Overnight visitors can usually be accommodated. Residents are welcome to bring their own furniture and choose their room decoration.
