Corner House is a 12 bedded residential Care Home in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire providing care, support and enablement to adults with Learning Disabilities.
Corner House is rated as an excellent service by CQC.
Corner House opened in 1985 and was Mansfield’s first Residential Care Home for people with Learning Disabilities.
Four older residents at Corner House worked with Social Services in 2004 to retire from Day Services to have a choice lead Quality retirement. This was seen as a model for Learning Disabilities support and was featured in the Learning Disabilities Times being the second only retirement group in the UK.
This day care has continued and now includes people who have left conventional day services and enjoy a choice lead, person centred support package.
In 2008, Corner House expanded purchasing the house next door and increasing bed spaces to 12. This extension also provided a conservatory dining room, and ensuite bedrooms.
