Amity 

Amity ProjectAmity is a project for people with mental health needs, aged 16 plus, in Nottinghamshire.

Based in Sherwood, Nottingham, it provides a safe and secure environment where we deliver a wide range of activities as well as a newly introduced outreach service,surpporting people in there own homes and in the community.

Open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Wednesday, for group activities and support.
Open from 9am to 5pm, Thurday to Friday delivering outreach services.

Offering support with:

  • Giving you someone to talk to
  • Managing stress and depression
  • Building your confidence
  • Promoting and facilitating good relationships
  • Developing and promoting good communication skills
  • Accessing complementary therapies
  • Developing independent living
  • Managing your budget
  • Accessing benefits
  • Developing your IT skills
  • Access to training and employment

Walk A lively programme of social  and recreational activities includes:

  •  Art group
  •  Music group
  •  Gardening
  •  Relaxation
  •  Walking
  •  Drop-in facilities 
     Complimentary therapy


Group work is complemented by one to one support sessions; keyworkers are always on hand to offer support to those experiencing difficulties.

We have strong links with other local agencies, including those which deliver mental health support.

You can refer yourself to Amity or be referred by a friend, a relative or a health professional.

We are on the main bus route, next to Woodthorpe Park and close to Sherwood shopping centre.
